As two steel and glass angels look over the East river, their unknown, but soon to be fate, wings its way westward...the world is forever changed.

This award winning photo was taken from the deck of the Staten Island ferry in 1978. Although the sun, from the photographer's perspective was below the horizon, it still shines on the tops of the Twin Towers creating the prophetic, halo effect.
