Most Enlighten Senior Award (MEAS)

Starting in 2008, The Church of Universal Spirituality began to present the Most Enlighten Senior Award (MEAS) to seniors who demonstrate an uncommon awareness of the world in which they live.  The MESA will be presented in April of each year and those recipients will receive this award and photo in the award section of the church's web site.

Arthur H. Heiser - 2008 MESA winner

Arthur, age 92, a native New Yorker born in the Bronx in 1916, moved to Brooklyn at age 3 and lived there until moving to California in 1940.  A law graduate of Cornel University, he married Lucy Ellenberg, his wonderful wife, the same year.  Arthur worked summers for Tilly Louis Foods for which he became company president.  Arthur retired in 1965 and became a world traveler visiting such places as Africa, Antarctica, South America, and the entire European and Asian continent. He  has two daughters Nancy and Barbra and continues to be an active member of the local Peace and Justice network.
